Cosmetic DentistryAlmost every type of dental treatment that Dr. Troutman performs has a cosmetic component, because the goal is to provide dental treatments that leave your teeth looking natural. Following are some common cosmetic dental treatments provided.

Tooth-Colored Fillings

If you have dental decay, your teeth can be restored with a material that is tooth colored. The end result is a natural-looking filling material that blends in with your teeth.

Porcelain Veneers

These thin sheets of porcelain are bonded to the front of the teeth to address issues such as dark stains, chipped, cracked or slightly crooked teeth, and gaps between teeth. They allow you to retain a great deal of your natural tooth structure, since only the fronts of your teeth must be prepared to have the veneers bonded to them. Porcelain veneers are stain resistant, so you’ll maintain a beautiful, bright smile for years to come.

Crowns

A tooth that is too decayed to be restored by a filling or is otherwise damaged due to disease or trauma often can be saved by restoring it with a porcelain crown. A crown is a cap that fits over your tooth and is cemented in place to return form and function to the damaged tooth. The porcelain can be matched to the color of neighboring teeth to create an ideal aesthetic result.

Bridges

This restoration bridges the gap created by one or more missing teeth. We use the healthy teeth on either side of the missing tooth/teeth to anchor the bridge in place.

Teeth Whitening

Whitening your teeth can be one of the easiest, least invasive ways of improving the appearance of your smile. We offer a take-home product that comes with disposable trays prefilled with whitening solution you wear for as little as 15 minutes per day.

We also offer whitening treatments with custom trays for patients who request them.
